Originally from California and now residing in Wisconsin, 38 year old Keegan Wenkman is a unique artist for Outsiders and Others to be showing because we primarily focus on works by self-taught artists, and Keegan went to art school.

Wenkman was a young guy that hadn't gone to art school yet when Outsiders and Others started working with him. His drawings were in the moment, messy, and full of heart. His loose hand and sparse choices with colour, mainly because of his colour blindness, all added to his distinct style.

Now, almost 20 years later, after formal music production education and lots of life lessons, his work really hasn't changed much at all. 
Then why go get "trained"? It's opens lots of questions.

Wenkman is also an accomplished oil painter and traditional printmaker.

This exhibition originally featured 160 original pen and ink drawings. 160 of them were created in the last year during Covid. One of them was created about 20 years ago.
